Going through a family separation is always stressful for both spouses and children alike.
Susan helps clients deal with all the legal aspects related to the breakdown of marital and common-law relationships. Susan assists spouses and former spouses in negotiating settlements for the separation of their property and financial resources. She will help you develop a parenting plan that will be acceptable to you and your spouse. If negotiations are not successful, Susan can use her experience as a litigator to take the case through the court system in a manner that is as efficient, fast and least costly as possible.
Susan is also an experienced Collaborative Law lawyer and mediator and has served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Collaborative Professionals (Medicine Hat) since the association was established in 2000.
Collaborative Family Law
Collaborative Family Law is a method of resolving family disputes that involves each client's lawyer, but does not involve a judge. For more information about Collaborative Law, see the website at www.collaborativelaw.ca.
